AI Compute on Clean Power, Owned by Its Users
SBX GRID is a decentralised network of modular AI data centres with their own renewable energy, designed to be tokenised for shared ownership and governed on-chain by its community.
Demand for compute is outrunning the grid that powers it. SBX GRID is designed to pair compute with its own clean power, built in phases from pilot sites towards 1 GW of community-owned capacity. In development.
What SBX GRID delivers
Modular compute
Prefabricated hub modules for heavy AI training and small edge sites close to users, designed to behave like one cloud built from many sites.
Clean power by design
Sites designed around renewable generation and on-site storage, so compute is not waiting years for grid upgrades.
Usage becomes ownership
Capacity, participation and governance designed to be represented on-chain, consistent with the rest of the ecosystem. No returns are promised.
How it works
Clean generation and storage are designed to power modular compute pods at regional hubs and edge sites. Each site registers its capacity on-chain, smart contracts match workloads to supply, and access and ownership are designed to be represented by tokens governed by the community.
SBX GRID is in development. Detailed architecture is published on sbxgrid.com and will be refined ahead of launch.

Who SBX GRID is for
Designed for the people who use compute, the community that owns it, and the partners who power it. In development.
Step 1 of 3: Request capacity. Submit a workload with its compute, latency and location needs.
Compute where clean power is
Designed to give AI and HPC teams access to capacity across hub and edge sites, matched on-chain to cost, latency and clean power.
The challenge
AI teams can wait months for capacity, and much of the capacity that does exist runs on fossil power.
What changes
- Hub capacity for training, edge capacity for inference
- Workloads scheduled where clean power is available
- Usage recorded transparently on-chain
Usage becomes ownership
Designed so the people who use and support the network can take part in owning and governing it.
The infrastructure behind AI is owned by a handful of companies, with little room for the people who rely on it.
- Join early: Join the waitlist for early access to the network.
- Participate: Participation designed to be represented by capacity and governance tokens.
- Help govern: Vote on the network's direction as it grows in phases.
- Shared ownership designed in from the start
- Governance on-chain, in the open
- No returns are promised; details will be published ahead of launch
Put clean power to work
Designed for owners of land, renewable generation and connectivity to host modular compute that follows renewable output.
Renewable projects can wait years for grid connections, while flexible local demand for their power goes unmet.
- Clean generation: A site with abundant renewable power and space for modules.
- Modular compute: Prefabricated compute and storage modules are deployed on site.
- Grid services: Flexible workloads shift to match renewable output and ease local peaks.
- Local, flexible demand for renewable output
- Modules added as the site grows
- Waste heat reuse and grid services designed in

Modular hub data centres
SBX GRID is designed around prefabricated modules, each with its own racks, cooling and power distribution, assembled like building blocks. A 10 MW site might be five 2 MW modules, and a campus can grow past 100 MW by adding more.
- Heavy AI training and HPC workloads at regional hubs
- Capacity added module by module as demand grows
- In development: phases from pilot sites towards 1 GW of community-owned capacity
Edge nodes
Alongside the hubs, edge facilities from tens of kilowatts up to 1 MW are designed to sit in telecom exchanges, beside cell towers or in rugged container units, bringing inference and rendering close to the people using them.
- Edge AI inference and model caching
- AR and VR rendering, IoT data processing
- Hubs and edge behave like a single cloud
Clean power by design
Rather than waiting years for grid upgrades, SBX GRID sites are designed to be sited where clean power is abundant, with on-site solar and battery storage behind the meter and flexible workloads that shift to match renewable output.
- Renewable-first siting backed by long-term clean power contracts
- On-site solar and storage, with cleaner backup being explored
- Waste heat reuse and grid services from flexible workloads
On-chain control plane
Every site is designed to register its capacity on-chain, with smart contracts matching workloads to supply and AI scheduling jobs to where capacity, cost and clean power line up. Participation is designed to be represented by tokens for capacity, revenue and governance.
- Capacity registered and matched on-chain
- AI-driven orchestration across hubs and edge
- Capacity, revenue and governance tokens planned; no returns are promised
